I have admired non-Spanish European classical guitars for the direct drive of their pinned bridges. Bridge Bone Beads handily solved the problem of appearance. Through them I found a way to use the break tension from strings that pass through the bridge, provide a simple method of securing the strings, and avoid the appearance of a pinned brige which seems so out of place to us now. Changing strings takes no added time, and changing only one string without loosening the others is not difficult. In the case of a true emergency, like a string break on stage, there are still holes for tying the strings like on any other Spanish-style bridge.
